Special Branch was set up in 2004 by Jon Wheway who has been working in the industry for 18 years. He has worked in all areas of tree surgery including forestry, amenity and ancient tree preservation.
Special Branch can cater for any type of work from planting to pruning, hedge trimming and laying, dead wood removal and thinning, controlled section felling, site clearance and preservation work.
Quotations and advice are free and surveys, inspections and risk assessments can be undertaken by arrangement.
Special Branch Tree Services cover all areas of Somerset and Bristol and will travel further for surveys and risk assessments.
As well as the Tree Surgery Jon Wheway is also a talented craftsman and uses the spoils of his work to produce superb unique pieces of Chainsaw Art. These carvings range from mushrooms and toadstools through to bird boxes and baths and carved animals such as horses, dolphins, bears and birds.
There are pieces available through the shop here or individual commissions can be accepted. These pieces make a wonderful addition to any home or garden and are an original present.
